What to Pack
After Years of Travel
Over the years, I’ve learned that packing well has very little to do with having the right things, and everything to do with having fewer things that work harder.
I stick to a similar formula every trip: neutral colors, layers, and pieces that can be worn multiple ways. Shoes are always the biggest consideration, and I plan outfits around them, not the other way around. If something only works once, it usually stays home.
I’ve written before about my go-to travel bags, and the small items I always keep in my carry-on, and I’ll link those below. They’re the things that have earned their place after years of trial, error, and a few regrettable packing decisions.
The goal, for me, is simple: travel lighter, move easier, and leave a little space for souvenirs, market finds, or that one thing you didn’t know you needed until you saw it.
